angry-enough-to-stand-up-for-yourselfAnger and resentment have been showing up both within me and around me. This is power that is often misunderstood because we fear change. But allowing your anger can be like pushing off the side of a swimming pool, a powerful launch of desire.

Anger shows up when something is happening that you don’t like. The good news – you don’t have to like it!!

You can use this powerful dynamic energy to choose to stand up for yourself. This doesn’t mean picking a fight, or punching someone else on the nose. It means respecting your needs and desires and to honour your feelings which are guiding you.

Many of us, myself definitely included in this, take on wounds from our families or origin. That’s just the way things were back then. We tried to fit in, to be acceptable and lovable. And what it cost us was our own self-respect and self-worth.

Have you got an internal ‘peanut gallery’ of critics just waiting for you to make a slip so they can deride you, put you down, reinforce the message that you should just give up your dreams and get on with your duties?

Or are you afraid of losing someone else’s love and respect if you step out of line?

Either of these act as powerful controlling forces, limiting your freedom to be your wild genius Self.

What is left when you dismantle the thought structures of society? The wild natural genius of life itself.

So go ahead, get angry enough to stand up for yourself, to listen to yourself and do what feels better for you-  just because it feels better.
