Sunset and Sunrise

Here on the east coast of Suffolk we have big skies and gorgeous light. At the beginning and end of the day, there is this amazing free light show. I often walk along the beach to catch photos of the sun as it rises up out of the sea, or from behind the ubiquitous bank of cloud on the horizon. Then in the evening, I walk out onto the Common to watch the sunset, tracking it across the sky through the year.

And of course this inspiration of light, shade and colour makes its way into my textile art.
