Seascapes

Living so near the sea I am privileged to see it in all its many moods. Wild and windy with rows of white horses surging onto the beach to calm tranquil and silky smooth.

I am endlessly fascinated by the play of light on the water, and how the sea can be lighter than the sky, or like a patchwork of ultramarines, turquoise, ochre and midnight blues as the clouds play across the surface. This is the North Sea so there is no visibility below the water! For that I travel to Cornwall (as well as to visit family who live down there)

I like to add in stones and sea glass and shells that I’ve retrieved on my walks, as well as beads and ceramics
